Dr. Efstratios Tzirtzilakis is an Associate Professor at University of the Peloponnese, Greece. He has a degree in Mathematics, an MSc in Applied Mathematics, and a PhD in Biomagnetic Fluid Dynamics (BFD). His research field lies in Computational Fluid Mechanics and especially BFD, ferrofluid and MagnetoHydroDynamic flows. He is author or co-author of more than 35 papers in international refereed journals with more than 900 references from other researchers. He is referee for more than 35 international journals and reviewer of the American Mathematical Society. He is Editor in Chief of the International Journal ôNew Horizons in Mechanical Engineeringö and also member of the Editorial Board of the ôMathematical Problems in Engineeringö International Journal (JSR IF 0.762).á He has given lectures in several conferences and has been invited to give a lecture at the University of Cambridge. He is an expert in BFD flows and two of his publications were selected for the ôVirtual Journal of Biological Physics Researchö, where the papers published are reviewed for second time by a different editor and considered to constitute frontier research. In the past he has received scholarships from the Greek State Scholarship Foundation during his graduate and post-doctoral studies.
